Tuerk House is pleased to announce that the NEW Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Wing on Tuerk House’s main campus is now open. Funded by a signature grant of $700,000 from The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation, one of the largest private foundations in the United States, the 6,380 sq. ft, two-floor addition features a new dining hall and large, 104-seat communal dining and meeting space to serve Tuerk House residents and staff. The wing also includes two new residential suites, creating space for an additional 10 beds for individuals in need of in-patient treatment.
“Once again, our organization is expressing our profound gratitude to the Weinberg Foundation for gifting us with an award that will truly be life-changing for people seeking enduring recovery,” said Bernard Gyebi-Foster, M.A., L.C.P.C, Tuerk House Executive Director. “Addiction to alcohol, opioids and other substances continues to be one of the greatest challenges impacting our Greater Baltimore community. Every single bed we are able to add because of the support of our generous funders creates a new opportunity to save someone’s life.”
