The inpatient detoxification program at Tuerk House offers round-the-clock nursing care and physician oversight, as well as specialized counseling, to expertly and compassionately guide a patient through the complex process of withdrawal from drugs and/or alcohol.
What to Expect
Each patient’s detox plan is carefully individualized to safeguard his or her sobriety and make the experience as comforting as possible. Treatment plans include:
- 24/7 medical management and monitoring
- Administering appropriate medications to alleviate withdrawal symptoms
- Individual and group counseling sessions up to 16 hours a day to address the patient’s substance use, co-occurring conditions, and emotional and cognitive health
- Care coordination to successfully transition the patient—when he or she is ready—to a less robust level of care for continued monitoring
